Description: Providing services in an ethical and professional manner is critical considering the vulnerable populations with which behavior analysts work. Understanding and applying the Behavior Analyst Certification Board’s® guidelines for responsible conduct are also important for gaining and maintaining certification. This workshop will review those standards and discuss how to use them to guide clinical practice. Identifying the difference between unprofessional behavior and unethical behavior will also be reviewed. Video vignettes specific to each ethical guideline will be illustrated during the workshop. Participants of the workshop will be asked to identify and discuss the potential guideline violations and what solutions are applicable for each of the video scenarios presented. In addition, attendees will work in small groups to discuss written scenarios that are potential ethical guideline violations, and the workshop facilitators will interactively review the written scenarios with each group. The target audience for this workshop is board certified behavior analysts or individuals seeking that certification.

Alpine Learning group is an Approved Continuing Education Provider (#OP-09-0293) for the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. Attendees may earn 3 TYPE II CE credits for attenthing this workshop free of charge.

Disclaimer: Alpine Learning Group maintain responsibility for the program. This training is offered independent of the BACB.
