General Information and Fees

Have a limited budget for attending or sending staff to professional meetings? Shop and compare -- you'll find no better value for your money than the highly rated APBA convention!

Who can attend? Anyone with an interest in the practice of ABA is welcome to attend the convention, but current APBA members enjoy substantially reduced fees. Membership is not included with convention registration. If you’re not already a member, join today to save on convention fees and enjoy the many other benefits of membership. APBA has memberships for individuals in several categories (sorry, no group or organization memberships).

What are the costs? Convention registration and other fees are shown below. Please note that

  • Convention registration fees include admission to exhibits, open meetings, and all convention events except workshops and the Saturday luncheon. That is, your convention name badge will admit you to all keynote addresses, tutorials, symposia, panel discussions, panel presentations, poster sessions, student paper sessions, open meetings, the exhibit area, bookstore, and social events on the day(s) for which you are registered. To attend workshops and/or the luncheon, you must register for the convention AND for those events.
  • The program for Thursday, March 26 will include several pre-convention workshops (2 - 6 hours each) and working meetings. The main convention will be Friday and Saturday, March 27 and 28. See the Program tab for the complete schedule. 
  • To obtain BACB CEUs, you must select CEUs and pay the CEU fee when you register. 

Full Convention Registration

Includes admission to all convention events on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday except the luncheon and roundtable discussions on Saturday and workshops. If you wish to attend the luncheon and/or workshops, you must register and pay for those as well.

Please note: Consumer registration is reserved for recipients of applied behavior analysis services or family members of service recipients only.

*RBT = Individual currently credentialed by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a Registered Behavior Technician™.


Workshop Registration

You must register for the convention in order to register for any workshop(s). Pre-registration for workshops is required, as space is limited and workshops will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. All workshops will be concurrent with other convention events (the complete convention agenda will be posted under the Program tab when ready).

Workshop registration does not include CEU fees.

CEU Fees

Most convention presentations except student papers and posters will offer Behavior Analyst Certification Board CEUs. Everyone wishing to receive CEUs will pay the following flat rate (for as many CEUs as you can get) with convention registration.

Saturday Luncheon and Roundtable Discussions

Enjoy a delicious buffet lunch while discussing a timely topic in the practice of behavior analysis with an invited speaker or other expert and colleagues. Fee (member or non-member):    $25.00

 

Guest Rooms

APBA has contracted for a block of guest rooms at the convention venue, the beautiful Sheraton Denver Downtown (on the pedestrian mall). To get the special APBA group rate, you must have made a guest room reservation via our link by March 4. The link will be sent after you register for the convention. Room rates for convention attendees (exclusive of tax) are

  • Single or double occupancy: $199 per night
  • Triple occupancy: $219 per night
  • Quad occupancy: $239 per night
  • Executive suite: $249 per night

You'll want to stay at the Sheraton to maximize your convenience and networking time. That will also help APBA meet its commitments to the hotel, so please watch for the guest room reservation link with your convention registration confirmation email and book your room by March 4!


Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations of convention registrations must be made in writing (Gina@apbahome.net) and are subject to a $25 fee if received by February 21. After that date substitutions will be accepted – that is, the registration may be transferred to another individual -- but refunds will not be provided. No-shows will not receive refunds. To get member registration rates, you must be a member at the time you register for the convention. No refunds will be issued to those who register as non-members by mistake or join APBA after registering for the convention.
