APBA 2027 Awards

APBA’s annual awards recognize individuals whose leadership, service, scholarship, and contributions are advancing the practice of behavior analysis. We invite you to nominate a deserving colleague or student for a 2027 APBA Award.  Nominations are due by 8:00 PM PT on November 2, 2026. Current members of the APBA Board of Directors are not eligible. The award recipient is invited to attend the 2027 APBA Convention (March 18-20, Kansas City, MO) to accept the award. Nominate here

Madden & Reed Effective Teaching of Behavior Analysis Award

This award recognizes behavior analysis instructors who have developed innovative and effective teaching methods that demonstrate a positive impact on student learning and the clients or communities their students serve.

APBA Excellence in Ethical Practice Award

This award recognizes an individual who demonstrates an exceptional commitment to ethical practice and consistently embodies the principles and standards outlined in the BACB® Ethics Code for Behavior Analysts or the RBT® Ethics Code (2.0) in their everyday work.

APBA Student Award

This award recognizes a student whose dedication to learning, leadership, service, or professional growth extends beyond the classroom.

APBA International Advancement of the Practice of Behavior Analysis Award

This award recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to advancing the recognition, development, or practice of behavior analysis outside the United States.

APBA Jerry Shook Award

This award honors Dr. Jerry Shook’s invaluable contributions by recognizing an individual whose achievements have strengthened the value of professional credentials in the practice of applied behavior analysis. Nominees should have made concrete and notable contributions to promoting, advancing, or supporting sound professional credentialing programs, including certification, licensure, or registration, consistent with Dr. Shook’s vision and APBA’s mission, values, and positions.
