Request to Recruit Research Participants
Per APBA’s Policy on Requests to Recruit Research Participants, all requests must:

- Be submitted by one of the PIs who is also a current APBA member;
- Be submitted via the form above.
- Include all the required information and uploaded documentation (listed in the form); and
- Be aligned with profession’s ethical standards and APBA’s mission and values.
All submissions will be reviewed in the next available monthly review meeting. Reviews are carried out by APBA staff who seek input from the Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and/or Subject Matter Experts, as needed. Submissions must be received by the 20th of the month to be considered for the next month's release. If approved, the content will go out in a scheduled email in the following month.

You are invited to participate in a brief research survey focused on how ABA providers understand and define commonly used behavioral terms. This study is specifically seeking participants who hold a current BCBA®, BCABA®, or BCBA-D®certification. The goal is to better understand how key concepts are interpreted across practitioners, with the aim of improving definitional consistency and informing future training and practice.
The one-time survey consists of multiple-choice items and takes approximately 10–15 minutes to complete. Your responses, including name and contact information, will be kept confidential.

You are invited to participate in a research study titled “Examining Current Functional Assessment Practices: An Extension of Oliver and Company (2015) IRB 15704” conducted by Dr. Audrey Hoffmann, Assistant Professor at Utah State University.

The purpose of this study is to examine current functional behavior assessment (FBA) practices being taught and implemented in applied behavior analysis (ABA). Eligible participants include certified practitioners/clinicians (BCBAs, BCaBAs, or BCBA-Ds)®. Participation is voluntary and involves completing one anonymous online survey, which includes basic demographic questions and takes approximately 20 minutes. You may stop participating at any time by closing your browser. As a thank-you for your time, participants who complete the survey may choose to enter a drawing to win one of twenty $50 Amazon gift cards. Entry into the drawing is collected separately from survey responses to maintain anonymity. Please note that if you choose to share this opportunity, your organization is not affiliated with or representing the research team, and we do not expect you to answer questions about the study.
