Abstract: Providing culturally responsive ABA services often requires behavior analysts to navigate situations in which ethical responsibilities, client values, family preferences, organizational policies, and evidence-based practice do not perfectly align. This interactive Ethics Chat will explore realistic clinical scenarios that challenge practitioners to apply the BACB Ethics Code while considering the unique cultural, linguistic, religious, and contextual factors that influence assessment, treatment planning, supervision, and service delivery. Through guided discussion, panelists will demonstrate how they weigh competing ethical obligations and collaborate with clients, caregivers, and colleagues to develop individualized, culturally responsive solutions. Attendees will gain practical strategies for recognizing assumptions, asking more effective questions, and strengthening clinical decision-making when there is no single "right" answer.''

Adel C. Najdowski, PhD, BCBA-D, is a Professor and Director of the MS in Applied Behavior Analysis program at Pepperdine University and a member of the BACB Board of Directors, with over 45 publications. Her expertise spans ethics — as author of A Workbook of Ethical Case Scenarios in Applied Behavior Analysis — and cultural responsiveness, reflected in her research on diversity and social justice and her article "Towards the development of antiracist and multicultural graduate training programs in behavior analysis" (Najdowski et al., 2021, Behavior Analysis in Practice).
Maria R.S. Solis, MPH, BCBA, founder and executive director of Sasaki Behavioral Group and an APBA Board member, brings more than two decades of practice centered on social justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, and cultural humility, along with graduate-level teaching at Endicott College, the University of West Florida, and Santa Clara University.
Corina Jimenez-Gomez, Ph.D., BCBA-D, Assistant Professor at the University of Florida, brings expertise in culturally responsive behavior analysis, translational and applied research, and clinician training. Her work focuses on supporting learners of diverse abilities, coaching practitioners, and improving clinical practice through the lens of cultural responsiveness. Her contributions have been recognized with the Association for Behavior Analysis International Distinguished Contributions Award for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis Contribution of the Year Award
