This month the topic(s) are the proposed CPT Codes and what that means for funder and practitioner relationships, and age caps and navigating denials. 

APBA Funders Forum Terms of Service and Agreement 

The Association of Professional Behavior Analysts (APBA) Funders Forum events and all related content is subject to these Terms of Service. By submitting a question to and attending an APBA Funders Forum event, you agree to these Terms of Service in their entirety. • Panelists and APBA staff cannot provide legal advice or guidance to you and nothing they say or write may be taken as such. In addition, panelists and APBA staff cannot provide you with specific business or ethics advice, and nothing they say or write should be taken as such. • Panelists cannot discuss the use of AI or answer any questions related to AI. 

• Panelists and APBA staff will provide their opinions and discuss their analysis of de-identified questions or scenarios. Panelists and APBA staff will treat all questions and scenarios as hypothetical and can only respond to the information provided in the question.  

  Given the continued need for behavior analysis-based services that are primarily funded by health insurance plans, it is imperative that behavior analysts have the knowledge and skills to effectively interact with the managed care system (e.g., creating quality assessment and treatment plans, collaborating in peer-review meetings). In collaboration with leaders from funder organizations, APBA has created a panel of funders to share their expertise, tips, tricks, and advice on how to navigate funding sources, treatment plans, appeals, and more in quarterly Funders Forum events. 

  The Association of Professional Behavior Analysts (APBA) Funders Forum events and all related content is subject to these Terms of Service.
