Using Teach-Back to Enhance Training and Supervision with Dr. Nicole Gravina

Teach-back involves describing a procedure in plain language, and using questions to facilitate an accurate description of the procedure. It has been used to improve a variety of health-related behaviors such as medication and appointment compliance, and more recently, it has been used to teach behavior analytic procedures. In this talk, Nicole will provide a detailed description of teach-back and will present results from a study where teach-back was used to improve procedural fidelity. She will also share recent findings from a study on teach-back acceptability. Finally, Nicole will discuss future research and applications of teach-back in training and supervision, and also limitations of the tool.
